I grew up going to this place with my dad. We have not been as much lately but after my most recent trip to PCB, we had to go back. While some of the people have changed, most everything about the place is the same. It's open for breakfast and lunch (not dinner or late night). And the same chef still makes the best omelettes I have ever had. If you can make an omelette as fluffy as he can then congratulations because I've never seen one like it. Ham and cheese omelette and hash browns were my staple as a kid and now it's only slightly different. Western omelette and hash browns! Anyway, the price is a little bit more than Waffle House but you'll appreciate the service and the best omelette ever. My only complaint is the hash browns are a bit oily. Next time I might order it steamed or cooked without as much oil. But seriously, best most fluffy omelette I've ever had and excellent service every time!

Friendly waitress, good, fast service. The cook/owner is quick and works hard to get food out quickly. place is VERY dated and needs a deep cleaning and major updating. I ordered the stacked ham sandwich which was described as a generous stack of slice ham. It was two razor thin slices of processed deli ham, slice of processed cheese, a piece of lettuce and tomato and a packet of mayo. Not great and not worth the price. how do you screw up a ham and cheese sammy? My guest ordered an omelette. Said it tasted great, but very greasy. I watched the chef pour fresh grease on the griddle and the pan on every turn. lighten it up. They serve a regular crowd, but this place isn't for me. I won't go back.

Went here again for breakfast and the place has had a facelift. The decor is new and updated and also very clean. Ordered an omelette which was delish. Will go back and try the beach browns next time I am out that way

This is a much cozier feeling, cleaner, independent family owned local version of a Waffle House. My waitress, a young woman from Bulgaria, was very efficient, attentive, and friendly; she kept my coffee filled at all times , which was a significant task because I was having a rough time of it this morning and needed a lot ! I tried the waffle, ham, scrambled eggs, orange juice, and coffee.. The menu is pretty similar to that of Waffle House, but this place is open for breakfast and lunch, they open at 7 AM, not open at night so if you are leaving the bars and clubs when they close at 4 AM your choices are still Waffle House and Waffle House.. Looks rather like a Waffle House when you walk inside, the layout includes a similar mix of counter and booth seating, the grill and such are in more or less the same places, along with a row of waffle irons.. but the interior is decorated with some random stuff so it feels a lot cozier. Since this is a local, family owned and operated business, I would tend to choose it over Waffle House on that principle alone.

When we go to the beach, almost all local establishments are slammed, even the ones built into our resort. With all the hustle and bustle going on at any given morning during the busy season you can find young patrons at the nearby Waffle Houses, Chick-fil-A's, or McDonald's/Burger King. Sometime Captain Jack's will be a choice for buffet style breakfast/brunch. Do you crave Waffle House? Is Waffle House too busy with hungover teenagers? Fear not, The Edgewater Waffle Shop gives you the taste and feel of Waffle House but with better service (we've had the same adorable waitress for 3 years). Your food is delivered almost immediately after ordering and it is always flavorful and filling. Ive had the steak and eggs with hash browns, the two egg plate with eggs over easy, bacon, wheat toast, cheese grits. Everything delivered comes out great, the service is great, they have adorable beach trinkets you can purchase upon leaving. It is almost a hidden gem I don't want others to find, we get phenomenal service and better food than you will at your local fast food joints, they can have us in and out on a fully cooked breakfast meal for a family 6 in no time.

All I can say is wow, this place is really a dive. I can take a dive if it serves good food, but the food here was just okay. The waffles were not very thick and cold. My son ordered a chocolate chip waffle which merely consisted of a soggy waffle with a few chocolate chips sprinkled over the top and a drizzle of heresy syrup and whip cream. The coffee was decent. The decor , if you can call it that, consisted of Velvet paintings and tropical plastic plants. While the restaurant appeared to be clean, everything in here is very old and worn. My advice is to go to the Waffle House across the street.

I'm very critical of my omelets and I have to say it was the best I ever had. The staff was crazy friendly and the overall experience was great.
